Atherinomorus lacunosus (Forster, 1801)
Slender Hardyhead, 6.0cm

A dense school of these was seen near shore at Sidem and other sites at night on several occasions. The ID is tentative. These taught me that it is worth wearing a thin hood on night dives. On at least two occasions, one of these got into my ear and it took a fair bit of head-shaking for me to get it out.

Another school at Melasti in November 2024. They seem to freak out a bit when a light is shined at them.
